Magento 2.0 was released on November 17, 2015, roughly seven years after its initial launch. This major overall of Magento was done with the aim of providing new ways to improve user engagement, smooth navigation, improve on already impressive conversion rates and overall revenue generation for store owners. The upgrade has well-organised business user tools that enhance the user experience of the platform. Among the improved features of Magento 2 over Magento 1 are improved page caching, enterprise-grade scalability, inbuilt rich snippets for structured data, new file structure with easy customisation, improved performance and a better code base.
In short, a great deal of time and effort has gone into identifying any potential improvements over Magento 1 and creating the software’s newest generation. Magento 2 is designed to take the platform forward for at least another 10 years .
